This combined AAT level 2 course consists of two courses for which there are three units. Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping consisting of two units plus the single unit covering the Foundation Award in Computerised Accounts.
Three levels of Sage 50 Professional training and Certificates worth £375 are also included in this course option.
If your intention is to apply for jobs or improve your CV then taking the three levels of Sage 50 Professional training at the same time will greatly improve your prospects. Sage 50 Professional is classed as the industry standard in the Bookkeeping and Accountancy profession and most jobs require the applicant to be proficient and have certificates to prove completion of training.

The three AAT units making up the Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping are:
Bookkeeping Transactions (BTRN)
This unit introduces you to double entry bookkeeping, the different types of accounts and records a business keeps and how to enter transactions into the accounts.
Bookkeeping Controls (BKCL)
This unit follows on nicely from Bookkeeping Transactions. You will learn how to identify errors in the accounts and make corrections. You will also learn about the banking system and how to create a full set of accounts up to trial balance.
Using Accounting Software (UACS)
For this unit you will be required to use your knowledge of bookkeeping and double entry to enter a company’s data into a computerised system.
With our combined AAT level 2 course you will receive individual workbooks containing comprehensive lessons, examples and practical activities along with Sage Business Cloud software for the duration of your studies.

A good understanding of the English language is essential.
Approximately 120 to 140 hours for all of the AAT units (Ofqual suggest the Total Qualification Time equates to 160 hours.), plus 30 to 40 hours extra for the Sage units with our time saving utilities.

Q: What is the average completion time for these courses?
A: Much depends on how easily you adapt or if you have any previous knowledge or experience. Our statistics show that our students take anything from 2 months to 18 months to complete a Level 2 course.
Q: Do you provide the software for the Sage modules?
A: Yes. Sage 50 Professional software is very expensive at around £1200 so we provide you with a time limited version of the software for the duration of your studies.

The 3 units within Level 2 are assessed by means of Computer Based Assessments (CBA). These are to be completed at the approved AAT assessment centre of your choice (subject to availability).
Assessment fees are payable to the centre/venue and may incur an administration fee.
On completion of all 3 units you will be presented with your certificates from the AAT.
A series of online knowledge tests throughout the courses, End of course tests and Online exam simulation tests (Mock Assessments) are the perfect way to ensure you have the best possible chance of success. Our specialist department will provide you with feedback advice and support, plus any additional lessons and tests you may need prior to taking an assessment.
Arranging an assessment:
