If you’re thinking about entering the job market, running your own Bookkeeping and Accounting business or just want to do the bookkeeping for your own business, but you’re a little unsure whether or not you will like it, the Introduction to Bookkeeping and Accounting Course is the perfect starting point.

You will learn about the basic principles of Bookkeeping, Banking, Sales and Purchases, VAT, Trade Discounts and Journals in a basic straightforward format, without having to spend hundreds of pounds on a Level 1 course elsewhere. If you like it and wish to take things further, we will take £35 off your first official AAT or ICB Bookkeeping Course or package.

Please note that a Level 1 course is no longer a requirement as we cover the old Level 1 units within our Level 2 AAT courses.

Furthermore, as a newly enrolled student on our Introduction course, you will be entitled to join our Facebook student community group ‘Student Street‘.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course; it is designed for complete beginners, although a good understanding of the English language is essential.

Duration

On average, this course takes between 10-12 hours of active study time including test. There is no time limit, and as it is home study, you can complete the course as quickly as you wish.

Upgrades

The next step from the Introduction to Bookkeeping is the ICB Level 2 course pathway or the AAT Level 2 bookkeeping or Accounting course pathway. Alternatively, we have complete self-employed bookkeeper packages available at extremely reasonable rates.

  • Calculate and process Trade Discounts

The exam/test can be taken from home using a computer with internet access. Log on details will be provided by your tutor on completion of the assignments. The test is timed, so you must ensure you have sufficient uninterrupted time before starting. Upon completion, you will receive your result immediately.
