SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PAYROLL COURSE

BrightPay for Windows

  • Windows 11 or Windows 10
  • .NET Framework 4.8
  • 1 Ghz Processor
  • 512 MB RAM (1+ GB recommended)

Most PCs have the .NET Framework version 4.8 already installed. For those which don’t, the BrightPay setup program will automatically attempt to download and install it. To install BrightPay on a PC with no internet connection, you may need to download and install the .NET Framework manually.

BrightPay for Mac

macOS (previously OS X) 10.13 (High Sierra) or higher (see compatible Macs here).

  • Understand how to Back Up and Restore data

After completing Chapter 2 you will:

  • Be able to add a new monthly employee
  • Be able to add a new Weekly Employee
  • Be able to add a new director

After completing Chapter 3 you will:

  • Be able to set up payment schedules
  • Be able to set up and apply pension schemes
  • Be able to process Weekly Payroll
  • Be able to produce payslips
  • Understand the reporting functions in BrightPay®

After completing Chapter 4 you will:

  • Understand how to report to HMRC under RTI

After completing Chapter 5 you will:

  • Be able to report sickness

After completing Chapter 6 you will:

After completing Chapter 7 you will:

  • Be able to attach an order to an employee in Brightpay®
  • Be able set up an Attachment of Earnings Order Brightpay®

After completing Chapter 15 you will:

  • Understand Shared Parental Leave
  • Be able to enter Statutory Shared Parental Leave
  • Understand Parental Bereavement Pay
  • Be able to calculate Parental Bereavement Pay in Brightpay®

After completing Chapter 16 you will:

  • Will be able process a final payment upon the death of an employee

After completing Chapter 17 you will:
