Having spent a fantastic first day connecting with many ICB students, members and exhibitors, the time came to attend the awards ceremony.
We met up with Claire Adams (New Practice of the Year nominee) and her husband Paul, as well as Christine Aplin (Student of the Year nominee).
After a sumptuous three course meal, Co-Founder, President and CEO at ICBGlobal, Garry Carter began announcing the 8th Annual ICB Luca Awards 2017.
The room fell silent as the first award nominees were mentioned…
“And the award for ‘Student of the Year’ goes to…Christine Aplin!”
Understandably, our table erupted as Christine rose to accept her well-deserved award.
Our ‘Tutor of the Year’ nominee Angie Capeling was magnanimous in being a runner up:
“My success is measured in my students’ successes” said Angie, still beaming from witnessing her student Christine winning her award.
When the time came to present the ‘New Practice of the Year’ award, we were once again very apprehensive. Although Claire (and by extension, her business ‘Paper Trail Bookkeeping’) were unsuccessful, the fact that her business was even shortlisted was a tremendous achievement, and all involved were extremely proud of her and her achievements.
The final, and certainly the most sought after award for all training providers is the ‘Large Training Provider of the Year’ award. Training Link has been the recipient of this award for the last five years; could we achieve an unprecedented sixth? YES WE CAN!
Our dedication to our students and unwavering determination to provide the best courses, materials, resources, support and guidance means that we are, quite simply, the best ICB Training Provider!
