Develop essential skills and pepare for the workplace.
It is ideally suited for students with minimal work experience such as younger students, trainees, or adults who want to validate their skillset before tackling higher levels of study.
Within this Level 1 Business Skills course you will learn how organisations function, and learn the role of sales and purchases in supporting business operations. You will apply standard business procedures to manage sales and purchases.
In addition, you will perform basic business calculations, working with decimals, fractions, percentages, proportions, and ratios. You will also use various tools and techniques to effectively present numerical data.
On successful completion of this qualification, you will be ready to progress to subsequent levels of AAT – either in Accountancy or Bookkeeping.

This Level 1 Business Skills (BUSK) qualification consists of two units and provides a variety of skills and essential knowledge to prepare students for using numerical skills effectively in a business setting.
You can complete this course within 4 months or less.

AAT does not set any entry requirements for this qualification.
However, for the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths. Accountants work at the very heart of a business and are expected to be able to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience.

Q: Is registration included?
Yes.
Q: Are assessment fees (exams) included?
No. You will need to book your own exams at an approved AAT assessment centre of your choice. You would pay the test centre directly at the time of booking.
Q: What is the average completion time for these courses?
Our students take anything from 2 months to 4 months to complete this Level 1 course.
As this is distance learning you are free to create your own schedule- if you want to do it in 2 months you can, if you need to take longer that’s OK too.
The units in this Level 1 course is assessed by a Computer Based Assessment (CBA). You will complete these at an approved AAT assessment centre of your choice. Assessment fees are payable to the centre/venue and may incur an administration fee.
On completion of the unit, you will get a Certificate from the AAT.
