Learn Bookkeeping from the ground up — no experience needed

Looking to break into bookkeeping or accounting but not sure where to start? This course is your launchpad.

Whether you’re aiming to boost your career prospects or set yourself up for further study, you’ll build real-world skills that employers actually look for.

You’ll get a clear understanding of what a bookkeeper really does — from processing invoices and recording payments to spotting the difference between cash and credit transactions. We’ll guide you through key concepts like assets, expenses, income, capital, and profit & loss, all in a way that actually makes sense.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Process customer and supplier transactions
  • Record receipts and payments into a cash book
  • Match records against a bank statement to prep for reconciliation
  • Understand the dual effect of transactions — the backbone of double-entry bookkeeping

We’ll also introduce you to accounting software: what it is, how it supports bookkeeping, the pros and cons of cloud-based vs traditional tools, and how to keep financial data safe.

It’s designed to build your confidence and get you career-ready — and once you’ve mastered it, you’ll be ready to take the next step on your bookkeeping journey.
