AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2, equivalent to GCSE)
The AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting is ideal and often the starting point for those wishing to embark on a career in Finance and Accounts.
Whether you are looking to seek initial employment as an accounts assistant, and (or) through experience and further study work towards a niche position within a company and qualify as an Accountant, or even have the desire to run your own Accountancy Practice, AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Units and Courses is, and has proven to be the perfect platform and starting point for thousands of people now working within the Finance and Accounts industry.
The majority of students start with Level 2 but in some cases they may have relevant academic qualifications or work experience enabling them to start at Level 3 or even Level 4.

The level 2 course consists of five units, four exams and a synoptic test as follows:
- Bookkeeping Transactions (Computer based exam)
- Bookkeeping Controls (Computer based exam)
- Computerised Accounting (Computer based exam)
- Elements of Costing (Computer based exam)
- Working Effectively in Finance (Synoptic assessment covering all aspects of the Level 2 Course)
The five units making up Level 2 are available from Training Link in three stages or as a complete course.
