2017 ICB Luca Awards, #1 ICB Training Provider

2017 ICB Luca Awards

The 2017 ICB Luca Awards are just around the corner, and we can now reveal that that we are associated with no less than FOUR awards this year; Large Training Provider of the Year, Tutor of the Year, Student of the Year and New Practice of the Year.

Large Training Provider of the Year

Having won the ‘Large Training Provider of the Year’ accolade for the last five years, you’d think that we might be getting complacent, but nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is, we’re extremely proud of our achievements, and we’ve been working as tirelessly as ever; will a bi-product of our efforts reward us with an unprecedented sixth award? Only time will tell!!

Tutor of the Year

Our dedicated tutor, Angie Capeling has been shortlisted for the ‘Tutor of the Year’ award this year. Angie previously won the accolade in 2011. Week after week, year after year, Angie remains a stalwart of the organisation. ‘Supportive’, ‘patient’, ‘knowledgeable’, ‘hard-working’ and ‘conscientious’ are just a few of the many, many comments that her students have passed on to us over the years; a true ambassador for Training Link.

Student of the Year

We are so proud to announce that Christine Aplin has been nominated for this years’ ‘Student of the Year’ Award.
Christine set herself a very tight schedule of completing levels 2, 3 & 4 in six months, and we were delighted to see that she had exceeded this, in addition to achieving top marks (distinctions) in every exam.
Having recently completed the ICB level four qualifications and SATR, she is now progressing through the Payroll qualification as well.
As well as this, she has also recently set up her own website www.caplinbookkeeping.co.uk

New Practice of the Year

Whilst not directly associated with us, ‘Paper Trail Bookkeeping’ has been nominated for ‘New Practice of the Year’ this year. This practice was founded by Claire Adams MICB Pm.Dip who began her learning journey with us back in 2015. She finished her exams in March 2016, and after taking some time to celebrate her achievements, she took the plunge and set up her own business in June 2016. This practice has now gone from strength to strength. You can read more of Claire’s successes here

The winners will be announced on Monday 16th October at the 2017 ICB Luca Awards ceremony, held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. To find out more about the ICB Luca Awards, click here.
